Goodyear launches a new passenger tire with enhanced wet performance, the Assurance TripleTred. Its earlier version was the company’s success and they sold nearly 5 million of them. The new model comes as replacement tire only.
The key feature of the Assurance TripleTred all-season tire is its innovative groove design that helps significantly improve traction on wet surfaces even when the tire gets considerably worn.
The TripleTred pattern presupposes the division of the tread into three zones featuring different design and functions. A WaterZone grooves remove water and slush from under the footprint area while large blocks of a DryZone on the outer tread improve traction in the dry.
There’s also an IceZone in a central tread area. It is design in such a way so as to provide for maximum quantity of biting edges that work in conjunction with volcanic sand and glass elements of the rubber compound and help the tire cut into ice and snow to ensure a firm grip in wintertime.

Goodyear Launches Two Ultra Wide All-Season Truck Tire
Goodyear company adds two new ultra wide tires to their truck tire line up. One of them, the G394 SST, is designed for use with trailers while the other one, the G392 SSD, should be mounted on a steering axle of your vehicle. Both of them are durable and damage-resistant so they would manage any highway haul.
The tires are made under the Fuel Max technology. These are the first fuel-saving truck tires that are at the same time equipped with the DuraSeal exclusive technology for safe driving in case of a puncture. The tires feature sealing gel on the inside to instantly seal punctures measuring up to 0.5 mm in size in tread areas subject to such repairing.
Both tires were certified by the Smartway eco program. They are designed for those who want to use ultrawide tires instead of paired ones that can also be found in Goodyear tire lineup and also benefit from the FuelMax technology to ensure 5 per cent lower rolling resistance if compared to standard tires. However, the new wide tire is more lightweight than paired ones.
Goodyear G392 SSD tread picture includes nine ribs and eight longitudinal grooves, which ensures the best traction possible, either in the dry or in the wet as well as on snow. The tread depth makes 25/32 inches, which prolongs the tire’s mileage. The tire comes L-load rated with the 445/50R22.5 sizing.

The new tire replaces the company’s G372 LHD model while featuring the same 30/32-inch tread depth. The new tire shows reliable braking on both dry and wet roads.
The G572 LHD Fuel Max is made under the TredLock technology. It features numerous interlocked sipes that ensure even tread wear thus providing for the tire’s longer life span. Circumferential and lateral grooves improve the tire’s performance all the year round. Groove design helps prevent stone penetration into the tread to prolong the casing life span, which in conjunction with four durable steel belts allows for several retreading operations.
Goodyear offers four sizes for the tire: 11R22.5 and 11R24.5 with G and H load ratings, 295/75R22.5 and 285/75R24.5 with G load rating. The 11R22.5-sized tire is equipped with the RFID chip on the inside.
